With the launch of this blog and new year I’m definitely trying to diversify my wardrobe, but let’s be real, I’m a creature of habit. If you guys follow my tags on Instagram, most of these shouldn’t be a surprise to you! So here are my top 6 go-to fashion retailers and the low-down on why I love them so much (and why you should too hehe):
*Cue eye rolls from all my friends*
I first discovered ASOS a couple years back when I was looking for a bridesmaid dress (and of course found one). It quickly became my favorite go-to store and pretty much fills almost half my closet! First of all, no tax and free shipping, need I say more? I even went as far as buying the unlimited 2-day shipping for $19/year. I just love the variety of styles ASOS offers; anything from casual and chic to super trendy items, you can pretty much find anything you’re looking for here!
They also offer one of the easiest free online return policies I’ve ever encountered, sale items included. They provide you with the return label when you get your package, and all you have to do is drop it off at your closest post office. Students also get 10% off of full-priced items when you validate your student email. They’re also having a HUGE sale right now, up to 70% off all their sale items! This is definitely the time I stock up on sweaters, jackets, boots and jeans.
Here are some of my top picks from their sale going on right now. P.S. the suede buckle ankle boots in half my photos are more than half-off right now. Comes in wide sizes as well!
2. Target aka Tarjay
Tarjay and I have a love-hate relationship… Love literally everything there but hate how much I always end up spending. So has anyone else noticed their recent rebranding and upgrade in apparel?! Target got rid of a lot of their old brands (e.g. Mossimo and Merona) and since then has introduced 12 new brands. I cried a little bit when they got rid of Mossimo, but tears were quickly wiped away when I got major heart-eyes for their new Who What Wear line. And that’s only one of their newest lines!
Their Who What Wear line has got to be my favorite because it offers more of a simple, chic and effortless style with a mix of street wear! Target is really no secret, and the price point is well, on point lol.
Below, I’ve linked a pair of black chelsea booties from their A New Day line. This is the first pair of booties I bought two pairs of, because I love them so much!
When I actually get myself to the mall, this is always one of my first stops. H&M is definitely my go-to for all my basic needs, cool cardigans, comfy sweaters and more! I guarantee you there’s always some sort of sale going on, and even when there isn’t, their price point is great!
They’re having a huge sale on fall and winter items right now, up to 80% off! Here are some of my top picks off of their sale.
I like to think of them as ASOS’s younger sibling, also a European-based online fashion retailer. Pros: THE DEALS THOUGH! There is almost ALWAYS a sale going on, from 50-70% off, and apparently today they have a sale up to 80% off (the best sales I’ve seen so far on BooHoo). I signed up for their emails and usually buy when it goes 60% off sitewide since 70-80% off doesn’t happen often (so buy now!!). Some of my favorite pieces in my closet are from here!
Cons: Not tax free like ASOS and shipping takes anywhere from 5-10 days (I’m impatient lol). Returns are also a pain in the butt. You have to pay for the shipping label yourself and it takes quite a bit of time for the money to be refunded back into your account. I’ve had a couple of items that fell apart pretty quickly, but for the price I can’t really complain.
5. Old Navy
Two words: black jeans! I get most of my black skinnies from here when I don’t feel like spending $50+ for black jeans, plus they’re super comfortable. I also always wait to buy things when the store goes 50%, online and in stores! Old Navy has definitely done some revamping and also came out with a solid athletic clothing line (most of my workout pants are from here).
Here are some of my picks on their work out pants (love the high-rise) and black skinnies. I usually buy their mid-rise jeans but am starting to transition into more high-rise jeans! P.S. they’re having a huge winter clearance sale up to 75% off!
Fun fact: I used to work here part time when I was in hygiene school and got the best discounts! If it weren’t so ridiculously expensive, I’d probably shop here more. I still do come here when I’m looking for more quality tops and jeans or when I need some professional clothes! I also love their Lou & Grey line for some of the best comfortable clothes.
Don’t be too discouraged by their price point. They have some pretty awesome sales every now and then. I signed up for their emails and always buy when the store goes 50-60% off. There’s also always an additional percentage off of their sale items. The most I’ve seen is 70% off and right now it’s 60-75% off! Some of my favorite tops and sweaters are from here and have lasted me years!
Other stores you need to check out for deals!
- An online fashion retailer based in Seattle! Their store motto: “When trendy meets affordable!” I seriously love their cute and simple style, and everything on the site is under $60!
- To meet all my trendy needs on a budget. I also get most of my blanket scarves from here, and almost all of their scarves are on sale right now!
- To meet my boujee needs lol. Not quite willing to spend full price here yet, but I signed up for their emails to be alerted when their sales get an additional 30-40% off! Their winter sale is still going on, it’s an additional 40% off of sale items!
- To my surprise, Hollister isn’t just for your typical teeny bopper store! The best deals I’ve gotten is when the store goes 50% off storewide or when all jeans are $25! I have a couple pairs of solid jeans from here. They’re also doing 50-70% off all clearance items right now!
