If you follow me on Instagram, then you’re probably aware of my annoyance with the Seattle weather lately… I mean I’m just a girl tryna pull my cute spring clothes out, but it’s hard when you have to dress for either the snow or sunshine!
Despite Seattle’s slow progression towards warmer weather, my eagerness has prompted me to start pulling out most of my spring clothes. So I wanted to do a quick and fun post to show you guys how I’m transitioning spring clothes into my wardrobe, with some of my favorite maxi/midi dresses and layering pieces!
PS keep in mind it’s still like 30-40 degrees in Seattle. If you’re somewhere warmer… well then, lucky you!
- Throw on your fav leather jacket!
Easily one of my favorite looks, throwing on a leather jacket makes me instantly feel THAT much cooler than I really am lol. I’ve been layering it over a couple of my spring dresses and skirts. Linking this year’s style of my exact jacket:
2. Layer it up with a light weight sweater
If you have any type of lightweight sweater, this should be easy for you! I love just throwing on a casual sweater on top of dresses or with a skirt, I do this all throughout spring. If you need anymore help layering, check out my good friend Thuy’s blog, she’s literally the queen of layering! I got this sweater a couple years ago from H&M, but linking some similar styles below:
3. Pull on your favorite duster/shacket
Lightweight dusters and shackets (shirt-jacket) pretty much rule my wardrobe in the spring and summer time. This is the ultimate transition out of winter for me because it means I don’t need any of my heavy jackets to keep me warm!
4. Don’t put your blanket scarves away just yet
I’m lowkey excited to not put all my blanket scarves away just yet, and plus it’s just so easy to throw on with any outfit!
Let me know what you’re doing to transition into spring in the comments below! Hope you enjoyed 🙂
